Landscaping Services
Professional San Diego Landscape Services

1. Design Stage

As we begin our landscaping services, we will need to gather information about the job site. It will be important to know how you intend to use the different areas in the landscape. The designer will also need to know if there are any restrictions that will be imposed by your Homeowner’s Association (HOA) or City code. We will then choose the various products that will be used for your specialized landscape services including plantings, hardscaping, water features, woodworking and lighting materials.

2. Budgeting

It is always good to have an idea how much you would like to spend on your San Diego landscape service. The recommended landscape budget is roughly 10% – 15% of the value of the home. This is a good starting point but amenities like pools, outdoor fireplaces, fire pits, outdoor kitchens and other additions will expanded the budget. Hardscape items comprise a major part of landscape expenses. Using the proper materials and installing these materials correctly is very important to the value and long-term performance of your yard.

3. The Plan

We can help you determine how much detail you will need in your plan. Is a conceptual plan enough or do you need construction details? While some homeowners associations need installation detail and material specification prior to approvals, others might not. Your HOA may have a specific list of approved materials and plants that we will need to address. All good landscaping services begin with a comprehensive design. Your landscape needs to be both functional and beautiful. All of these considerations will help determine the cost of your design.

4. Installation

By implementing the latest technologies of proper drainage and efficient irrigation practices, your project can be enjoyed for many years. The proper selection of plant materials that are suitable for the area is also critical to the health of your landscaping. The hardscape aspect of the job usually reflects the biggest investment of your landscape service, so it is important for the installation to be done right. We will not cut corners as we build your dream project.

We specialize in the coordination of the different subcontractors by creating a team that will be able to handle every aspect of the job. Having been in business for over 36 years we have developed relationships with some of the best subcontractors in San Diego.

We take pride in your choosing us to build your landscape project. We want to take your dream and create something that you will be able to enjoy for many years to come.

5. Maintenance

The best maintenance program begins with a proper installation. As your landscape matures, subtle differences in care will need to be addressed. We will be there to guarantee that your investment will continue to grow as your landscape matures. Eventually trees will need to be trimmed and annual color will need to be replaced. We also have a staff of certified irrigation professionals to help conserve California’s most precious resource, water. We will adjust your irrigation system schedule and ensure proper coverage as things grow and seasons change. We have a Qualified Applicator Certified (QAC) personnel to manage pests and diseases that could affect your landscape.

Unless your landscape is maintained through a professional San Diego landscape service like Mark Schroeder & Co, even the best installations will not achieve their full potential.
